Job Description
Job Description Header:
- Prepare, review, and submit import/export documents (customs invoices, certificates of origin, etc.)
- Manage and oversee import and export of goods.
- Ensure accurate product classification (HTS codes), country of origin determination, and valuation
- Ensure adherence to domestic and international customs laws, tariffs, and trade regulations, monitor changes.
- Coordinate customs clearance with brokers.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve delays, holds, or discrepancies
- File Electronic Export Information (EEI) via AES when required
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, Finance, and external partners
- Back-office support for Sales Management for preparation of Sales Quotation
- Process Purchase Orders from customers for capital equipment.
Job Description:
- 3+ years of experience in import/export operations or trade compliance
- Strong understanding of international trade laws, customs procedures, HS codes, and tariff systems
- Strong knowledge of U.S. import and export regulations
- Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders
- Order management experience a plus
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases.
- Familiarity with international trade software.
- Experience with Incoterms 2020
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
